Refund and Returns Policy – Salon Supply Co

At Salon Supply Co, customer satisfaction is important to us. This Refund & Return Policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

1. Return Period

You may request a return within:

- 30 days for change-of-mind returns

- 6 months for defective products under Consumer Protection Act (CPA)

After 30 days, change-of-mind returns are not accepted.

2. Eligibility for Returns

To qualify:

- The item must be unused.

- It must be in its original packaging.

- All accessories, manuals and included items must accompany the return.

- Proof of purchase must be provided.

Non-returnable items:

- Personal care items (e.g., clippers, razors, salon tools that have come into contact with skin)

- Consumables

- Hazardous materials

- Flammable liquids

- Gift cards

- Downloadable digital product

- Hygiene or intimate products

- Custom-ordered or specially sourced items

- Final sale or clearance items

These restrictions help ensure customers do not receive returned or used previously hygienic products.

3. Returns for Defective or Faulty Products

Under the Consumer Protection Act, defective products may be returned within 6 months of purchase:

- Repair

- Replacement

- Refund

A product is not considered defective if damage results from:

- Misuse

- Negligence

- Unauthorised repair

- Normal wear and tear

Where applicable, manufacturer warranties on salon equipment will be honoured.

4. Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your item, we will notify you whether your refund has been approval or rejection.

If approved:

- Your refund will be processed to your original payment method.

- Please allow 5–10 business days for processing.

5. Late or Missing Refunds

If your refund has not yet been received:

- Check your bank account

- Contact your credit or debit card provider

- Contact your bank, as processing times may vary

6. Exchanges

We only replace items that are

- Defective

- Damaged on arrival

- Incorrectly supplied

7. Gifts

- If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, a gift credit may be issued.

- If the item was not marked as a gift, any refund will be original purchaser.

8. Return Shipping

- Customer are responsible for return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns.

- If the return is due to error or a defective item Salon Supply Co will cover shipping costs.

We recommend using trackable shipping service for all returns.

9. POPIA Compliance

All personal information provided during the return, exchange or refund process is protected under Protection of the Personal Information Act (POPIA) and used only for processing your return or refund.

10. Warranty Terms

The warranty applies only to hardware components, including the hydraulic pump and reclining mechanism, against manufacturing defects.

The warranty does not cover:

- Upholstery

- Fabric

- Colour fading

- Peeling

- Deterioration of plating or hardware finishes

These are considered normal wear and tear resulting from use and environmental exposure.
